I did not know that so many endearing names belong to my vocabulary, which always come to my lips as Rieke and Sissi. They are under God’s special protection! Everything that grows in nature is considered their food. At the right time, they receive a new garment for winter and summer, so that their delicate beings can rest snugly sleeping in the snow. Even at night, they sleep with their ears perked up, hearing sharply, and at the slightest noise, they immediately display great speed in fleeing.

They know no envy, they do no harm to any being in the world. They possess the qualities that we praise as the highest virtues, but without negating the world. In their expressions, they are fully present. Gymnastically trained, they can jump two meters high from a standstill, and in running, who can compare to them?

Gorging, food envy, jealousy are foreign to them because they are especially gifted. In their magnificent existence, I would always like to elevate them, for they are the noblest company I have ever had the privilege to experience …
